Founder's Day 2017

Year 11 Prefects

Every year we celebrate the school careers of all our Year 11 students at our Founder's Day Celebration Evening & Prize Giving.

This year's Founder's Day takes place on Thursday 22nd June, and Year 11 students have already received letters inviting them and their families to attend.

We hope it will be a real celebration and a lot of fun. It is also a chance for these students to gather together one last time after their exams have finished. As part of the evening, each student will have their chance to walk across the stage as parents and families applaud their moment of recognition. The evening finishes with an informal hog roast and Pimms reception.

The very best of luck over the coming weeks to our Year 11 students. We look forward to marking their student years at Wallingford School at this very special occasion.

The house teams took part in Wallingford's Annual Pancake Race on Tuesday morning. People were out in shroves to witness the races, and see who was the batter runner.

The race starts

Following several races by primary schools, Wallingford School's house teams raced against each other. Bigg tried to crêpe into the lead, but Blackstone came frying through for the win. Congratulations!

Adding the School Calendar to Your Own Calendar

VLE Calendar

You probably already know our calendar is available as a PDF from our VLE and web site, but it also appears on the VLE as an Internet calendar. If you use a calendar such as Outlook or Google Calendar, you can import our calendar into it. This means, any time the school calendar is changed, your copy will be automatically updated, and you'll be able to access it more easily on mobile devices.

You can see how to do this by following the steps in the video shown in the Parents' Area of the VLE.

Young Enterprise Trade Fair

Young Enterprise Trade Fair

The Young Enterprise team went to Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley, for their first trade fair as part of the Young Enterprise Company Programme.

They were very successful in their sales of hand crafted wooden pens. They sold much more of their main product than expected, and completely sold out of their "twig pens". They also received the award for most ethically sourced product.

It was a great first time and they had some useful feedback to improve on the next trade fair in March.
